Trina Ho’s portfolio includes managing the legal affairs of the IP office and overseeing the Copyright Unit, which was created under the Legal Department to review and develop Singapore’s copyright laws and policy, advise the Government on copyright matters and regulate collective management organisations. Trina jointly spearheaded the Ministry of Law-IPOS taskforce that undertook the Copyright Review, which culminated in the new Copyright Act 2021.

Trina’s responsibilities also include supporting policy reform in other areas of IP law, advising on and negotiating IP issues in international agreements and treaties, and advising public sector bodies on IP management issues.

Prior to joining IPOS, Trina was in private practice where she specialised in matters involving the protection and management of intellectual property rights, particularly in the fields of entertainment and the arts. During her time in legal practice, she had been ranked in the intellectual property industry and TMT industry by the Asia Pacific Legal 500.

She is currently listed in the IAM Strategy 300 :The World’s Leading IP Strategists guide since 2020.
