Mr. Gregory Tan is currently the Joint Head of Legal & Regulatory in Temasek.

Before joining Temasek, Greg was a partner in an international law firm practising cross border M&As, joint ventures and private equity, with a significant part of his practice acting as international counsel to clients and co-counseling with local law firms to execute and implement complex transactions. Greg started his private practice career in Singapore before relocating to his firm’s San Francisco office. He spent time in his firm’s Tokyo and China offices before returning to Singapore to join Temasek. As a legal practitioner, Greg was consistently ranked by the leading legal publications. More recently in 2023, he was awarded the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association Chief Legal Officer Award in the public sector category.

Greg graduated from the University of Bristol, UK and started his legal career in the Supreme Court of Singapore as a Justices’ Law Clerk. He was called to the English bar as a barrister-at-law (Middle Temple) and was also admitted to the Singapore bar and the New York bar. He is currently a Senate member of the Singapore Academy of Law (“SAL”), Co-Chair of the Professional Development Working Group, Committee Member of the Corporate Law Practice Committee and Chair of the Venture Capital Investment Model Agreements (VIMA) working group in SAL.
