Vanessa Yeo currently serves as the Cluster Director (Strategic Policy and Operations) at the Info-Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA). In this role, she is at the forefront of initiatives aimed at enhancing online safety and combatting scams, shaping Singapore’s online safety policies and anti-scams measures, and ensuring the smooth implementation of such policies and measures.

A lawyer by training, Vanessa’s career is underpinned by a wealth of experience in the public sector across different roles. This journey, which spans over a decade, saw her contributing to various state and public sector agencies, including the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the Supreme Court of Singapore, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Law (“MinLaw”), the then Ministry of Communications and Information (now Ministry of Digital Development and Information), and now IMDA. Vanessa’s deep interest in the technology law space has also seen her play a significant role in the AGC-Legal Service’s Technology Law Cluster. As its Vice-Chairperson, she is helping to develop technology law expertise in the Legal Service, so as to address the Government’s fast-evolving technology law needs.
